Homemade Syrup

I decided to make pancakes this morning. Naomi requested Swedish Pancakes, but I wanted regular ones. Anyway, as I was making the pancakes, I remembered that we were out of syrup. So I started some homemade syrup. Then I thought, do I have any maple flavor left? So I checked the cupboard and pulled out a bottle. Perfect, I thought, pancakes and hot syrup. After I put the flavor in I looked at the bottle again and noticed that it said root beer extract. Oops! Don't worry though, today I discovered that my family LOVES root beer syrup.

Lately my homemade syrup has been flavored with vanilla and a hint of hazelnut. I've never even imagined rootbeer syrup before! Sounds fun.
