On Monday were had a very fun Family Away Evening. After dinner we loaded the kids in the van drove to Redlands. We sang our songs (Do as I'm Doing is a little funny in the car) had a great lesson discussion about the 4th Article of Faith and shared our "specials" along the way.
When we got to Redlands we stopped by the Temple. The Kids loved seeing it all lit up. They each had to take a picture of it. None of the pictures turned out that great because it was so dark, oh well. I think this is Jessie's shot of the temple.
The real reason we went all the way to Redlands was to meet up with Keith's brothers who flew into LA for a quick trip. We have not had very many opportunities to visit with them so it was awesome to have this little get together. We searched around for a place to get some ice cream but we never found one. We settled for a pizza place with lots of token games and prizes. The kids enjoyed pizza and root beer for their treat, but what they really loved was having fun at the games with their uncles. At one point when I had Naomi in the bathroom, she just kept talking about how she needed to hurry so she could go back out and see her uncles. We only got to visit for about and hour and a half but even that was well worth the drive.

Sometimes we have to make the effort to go the distance to see family even if it's for such a short time. Glad all had a good time!
We sometimes have Family Home Morning because that fits with our schelule better. I like Family Away Evening too!!
So glad that you got together with uncles! After talking to the Uncles, they thought the kids were wonderful and fun to be with--they loved the time with you!
